Yep, it seems Microsoft launched their own store and didn’t even promote it properly.

They are going to sell Windows 7 there and will probably also offer an instant download through their own store.

Actually, it would make sense that Microsoft sells products online, because who does really need those fancy software boxes nowadays?

Considering that they can make a lot more money by selling online, they also plan to reduce the price of Windows 7 by 10-20%!

It’s possible that Microsoft could have to face a great market share loss due to many factors:

a) It’s recession time, people don’t have that much money
b) Mac OS X is releasing a new version in September, shortly before Windows 7 and the uprgrade will be only $29

It’s confirmed that Microsoft will publicly announce Windows 7 prices during next week. It is a possibility that they decided to reduce the price by 10%-20%.
